Vintage Christmas Tree Fairy with Silver Tinsel Halo – c.1950s–1960s

A charming vintage Christmas tree fairy, believed to date from the 1950s–1960s, with a wonderfully full golden beige dress and a sparkling silver tinsel halo.

This nostalgic little fairy has a moulded plastic head and arms, with painted blue eyes, tiny red lips and sculpted hair. Her arms are raised above her head, while a wonderfully exuberant silver tinsel halo gives her a distinctive festive appearance.

Her voluminous dress is made from layers of delicate golden beige netting over softly gathered cream crepe paper, creating a lovely full silhouette. The netting is gathered around her shoulders to form a decorative ruffled collar.

A delightful piece of mid-century Christmas nostalgia, full of old-fashioned charm. She would make a lovely addition to a collection of vintage festive decorations or sit atop a traditional Christmas tree.
