Vintage Enamel Van Safety Warning Sign c.1940s–1960s

An unusual original vintage enamel safety instruction sign, believed to date from the mid-20th century.

Featuring bold red lettering against a white enamel background, the sign provides instructions for securing a van when unattended and ensuring that its swivel windows remain unlocked when occupied.

The wording suggests that it was originally fitted inside a commercial or specialist vehicle, although its precise application remains unknown.

Made from enamelled metal with a black reverse and four original mounting holes.

An interesting survivor of British motoring and industrial history, ideal for collectors of vintage enamel signs, automobilia and unusual transport memorabilia.
