Original Shell petrol advertising mirror featuring the iconic gold Shell script logo set against a mirrored glass panel within a dark stained wooden frame. Beneath the mirror is the Royal Warrant crest with the wording “By Appointment to H.M. The King,” reflecting Shell’s royal patronage during the early 20th century.
The lower frame retains its original metal plaque reading “British Petroleum Co. Ltd., 22 Fenchurch St., London E.C.” which ties the piece directly to the historic headquarters of the company and confirms its authenticity as period oil industry advertising.
Mirrored petrol advertising displays like this were produced for garages, showrooms and service stations and are now sought after examples of early motoring and petroliana memorabilia. The tall, narrow format and classic Shell branding make it a striking decorative piece suitable for collectors of motoring advertising, petroliana or vintage garage décor.
