A decorative job lot of vintage Singer wooden cotton reels, including a mixture of sizes, colours and label designs. The lot includes an attractive larger pictorial Singer reel marked “Specially Prepared for Singer Sewing Machines”, together with later red and green Singer machine cotton labels, Condor, Rich Machine Silk and Embroidery Cotton Grammes examples.

A lovely group for haberdashery display, sewing room styling, vintage craft collections, prop styling or decorative shop display. These look especially good grouped together in a glass jar, sewing box, drawer or alongside vintage sewing machines and textiles.

Condition

Good vintage condition with age-related wear throughout. The wooden reels have surface marks, rubbing, small knocks, splits to some rims and general signs of use. The paper labels show wear, fading, staining, rubbing and losses in places. Some reels retain thread, but they are being sold as decorative/collectable vintage items rather than for use.

Era

Early to mid 20th century, with the largest pictorial Singer reel possibly earlier, circa early 1900s–1930s.
