Vintage Tuckwood’s Stores Sheffield Plum Pudding Bowl

A vintage white ceramic advertising pudding bowl for Tuckwood’s Stores Ltd, Fargate, Sheffield, with black printed shop mark to the front reading “World Renowned Tuckwood’s Stores Ltd Fargate Sheffield Plum Puddings”.

The bowl has a simple flared form with a wide rim, stepped foot and three small foot rests to the base. It is made from a white glazed ceramic body, likely a lighter earthenware or vitrified ceramic rather than heavy ironstone. The clean advertising transfer and practical pudding bowl shape suggest an early to mid 20th century date.
